"This occured, for example, if the site being visited used security systems such as those which protect data sent back and forth during web purchases. "

What are your thoughts on this? I always use my Firefox with my Javascript and everything imaginable disabled, I never purchase anything thru Firefox, I never go to my bank account using Firefox... so could that vulnerability affect me?

And why do they say "Private browsing modes typically work by erasing the information logged when any site is visited."

Erasing? By using the Gutmann method, eh? If your browser runs in RAM there is no need to erase anything.

I don't understand this all. Can someone tell how it works?
