That will depend on the the browser configuration. But if the computer you are using has very low RAM memory and many programs are running at once the sites you visit could be stored at Windows page file, the possibilities for this are low, but not impossible.

You should check your browser settings and see where the path for the saved cache goes to see where it is being stored.

Remember that the latest Firefox has recently incorporated the "privacy mode":

Tools>Start Privacy Browsing

This will stop all saving of data in your hard disk as well as on your USB thumbdrive.
