Sigpics:

Registered posters may have sigpics on the Lounge (as well as the Tech Forum). Follow the instructions below and your sigpic request will be processed in a reasonable time.

Sigpics must follow the rules stated below.
Email a suitable sigpic to ssforums@elitemail.org. Your email must include your nick and password¹ (this is to be sure you're who you say you are, anonymous email makes it difficult to check otherwise).
If you are registered at both the Lounge and the Tech Forum, your sigpic will be applied to both unless you say otherwise.
If you want any other text/HTML to automatically appear above or below your picture, just include the details in your request.
If you are not yet registered, include your sigpic as an attachment with your registration request. Remember to supply both a nick and a password or you can't be registered. Your registration will apply to both the Lounge and the Tech Forum unless you say otherwise. Note: sigpics are optional and are not required for registration.
Registrations are also applied to the Backup Lounge and Backup Tech Forum as a matter of course.
Multiple Sigpics: Posters may have up to 3 sigpics. Select the one you want to use by typing zero, one or two spaces after your nick. Let us know which one is which.

1. If you've forgotten your password there's no problem. Just email us from the same address you used to register with originally (or from an email address you've used previously to communicate with us) and we'll email it to you. If you can't do that, send us a new password. Don't forget to include your nick: sometimes email addresses don't match nicks.

Sigpic Rules

Sigpics showing an identifiable person must be of yourself.
This is to avoid any possibility that others will have grounds to take action against us. Do not use a current picture of yourself! Use a picture of yourself as a boy (assuming that you're male, of course).
If paintings or drawings are used, you must have permission from the copyright holder to post them.
We don't want any problems such as other forums have had. Of course, if you've created the drawing yourself there's no problem. Paintings in the public domain are acceptable.
Sigpics must not show nudity or sexual activity.
This applies to real as well as artificial sigpics. Our terms of service with our ISP do not permit illegal material to be posted. I'm well aware that laws differ from country to country, but it's much easier to be safe than sorry.
Sigpics must conform to certain technical requirements.
Maximum size: 10 kbytes. Maximum height: 200 pixels (150 preferred). Maximum width: 400 pixels. File type: jpeg or GIF.
Sigpic editing
If you don't have the editing facilities to make your sigpic meet the technical requirements, send it along anyway and we'll adjust it for you as well as possible. Since this takes time you may have to wait a while longer for your sigpic to be available.
