Lounge Rules

Here are the formal rules. Enforcement will err on the side of caution.

1. Don't post erotica or detailed sexual discussions.

   While questions and discussions about sexuality are welcome, descriptions of sexual activities are not, neither fictional nor real. Advising a poster to engage in sexual activity with a minor, either specifically or generally, is strictly forbidden since it is illegal to do so in the server's jurisdiction.

2. Don't request, offer, or post links to illegal material, including pictures.

   You're allowed to post links to images on this board. Please use common sense. Image links may only be posted using the "Image URL" field at the bottom of the post form. (Note: You may not post "inline" image links, the <img> and <image> tags are banned. This is to prevent unscrupulous trolls from collecting IP addresses and other information.)

3. Don't harass, insult, threaten or impersonate other posters.

   This means what it says. No one here is better than anyone else, and no one has the right to patronize other posters. If you think someone needs "talking to" send them an email. Every poster must feel welcome here: no one should be afraid to post for fear of retaliation.

4. Don't reveal identifying details about yourself or other posters.

   A little bit here, a little bit there: it can add up to an identification. The admin will try to be watchful, but in the end your security comes down to you.

5. No outing!

   Outing, or threats of outing, won't be tolerated here. That includes hints or suggestions that a particular poster uses multiple nicks (unless, of course, that poster has made his use of multiple nicks public). Zero tolerance on this one folks. The admin will handle misuse of multiple nicks on this forum, if a poster has a problem, email us.

6. Don't post admissions of potentially illegal activities past, present or future.

   Remember that this includes any sort of illegal activity, not just sexual ones. If you're planning to rob a bank, build a bomb, grow mushrooms, or whatever, don't post about it here. To be on the safe side, and to accommodate the laws of various states and countries, the AOC for lounge discussions is taken to be 18.

   If you have engaged in any illegal activity in the past, it may only be discussed (preferably in general terms - in accordance with Rule 1) if you have already been convicted and served a sentence for it, or if the statute of limitations in your jurisdiction has elapsed. Still, it's probably best not to do this since it could be used as one more bit of identifying information.

   This rule is extended to add "Don't accuse any other person of engaging in illegal activity, past or present."

7. Don't request meetings with people who are under age 18.

   Also, if you're under 18, don't request meetings with other posters. Many requests by those purporting to be 13 (why do they always choose 13?) are actually from police attempting to set up entrapment operations. We don't want any trouble.

8. Keep it clean

   Gratuitous use of profanity or vulgarity may be edited or deleted. The Lounge is not the place for that sort of thing.
