Movieman's little Tiger stories were always sort of warm and fuzzy, and if you were in the mood to be cheered up, there were nothing better. I was dismayed to hear of his passing; it seems that so many of my friends are departing this world: Polar Boy, Movieman and Bill Evans come to mind. I was also surprised and somewhat warmed by the fact that his family chose to send a copy of his actual obituary to KRB and I. It is very unusual for a BL to be so open with his family that they actually notified us as administrators of a BL forum that he had passed away. Perhaps it is a sign that more openness can be expected in the future, and if that is so I can't think of a more appropriate person than Movieman to get that ball rolling. About two years ago, Movieman asked me to make a compilation of all his Tiger stories, which I did. His intention at that time was that they were to be published on a friendly BL web page, in memory of the boys in his life. If I can still find that compilation, I may consider asking his family for permission to reprint representative ones from time to time. I wonder if other posters think that would be an appropriate "in memoriam" for him? I hope MM has found a happy and comfortable place now, if such places exist. It would be a great honour for me to meet him when my time comes. Whether such is possible or not I won't know until it's a bit late to post about it, sadly. Somersault ![]() |
