Three bad bears ----

Posted by Movieman on 2007-03-7 12:50:16, Wednesday

Back when I was young and handsome --
My gramas told little kid stories about --

The bears - I'll huff and puff -

Goldie locks and the wolf -

Jack and the bean stock and the giant -

Then later on - mom would read from a book - storys with hidden mysterys that would make brother and me set on the edge of our chair with baited breath waiting for the excitment to start --
then mom would say - ok time for bed -
Brother and I would argue - aw mom - just a little bit more -
Nope - she would say - time for bed.

I've tried telling some of these storys to the Tiger -
but he is too busy with his digtal camra - his i-pod - burn this and that -

If it wasn't for feeding the Tiger a controlled diet and his running after birds, squirels, butterflies, he just might be up there with all those obese kids of todays generation.
Good thing we live in the country -

On days of clear blue skys, not a cloud in sight - it next to impossible to keep the Tiger in the house.
Even on those cool brisk days with plenty of sun shine and the wind out of the North - feels like it is blowing off a chunk of ice -
I would argue with im - its cold enough to freez --------
No its not - he would argue back - and out the door he would go.

I would go to the kitchen to put together his favorite soup.

After a while - the Tiger would stomp back in the house -
You know what M ?
No what - Tiger?
That north wind is coming off a chunk of ice.
Over to the fire place, back up to it - wiggle his little butt - aw that feels good.

I'm hungry M - whats for lunch?
Hot steamy soup - hows' that sound?
He ran over to me - gave me a hug - your the best dad in the whole world.
It isn't very offten he calls me dad - once in a great moon he lets it slip.

The three little bears, goldie locks and all the little storys of yesteryear are tucked away - waiting for their time to be popular again.

Makes me wonder what the next decade of generations will be like.
For the time being I'll just settle for the Tiger.

Smiles and hugs

Movieman - love you all
