Blue Monday ----

Woke up this morning with dry eyes and a sandpaper throat. Crawled out of bed, wobbled into the kitchen, looked for the coffee maker, found it, of all places, in the place it was supposed to be. Filled it with water, pluged it in. Gurggle - gurggle - hiss steam and then it was quiet. Held coffee cup under spout, poured cup full, put up to my mouth, sipped a sip, didn't tast just right -- forgot to put coffee grounds in -- Oh well - instant coffe is just as good - taste the same - that is if your still half a wake and your tast buds haven't woke up yet. Set down at the breakfast table to enjoy the first cup of coffee, looked at the ole clock on the wall - 7;30 - the Tigers not up yet and he has to be in school at eight bells - Down the hall I hurred, opened the Tigers door, rushed over to his bed, pulled the covers off, Tickled his belley, Tiger, Tiger wake up its 7;39 and your going to be late for school. Mmmmffff Mfffffff - M don't you remember - school is closed till noon today because of a main water line break. I stood there with a stupid look on my face, slowly covered the Tiger back up and back down to the kitchen. Age has nothing to do with it - it's just I have more to think about than back when -- Walked over - poured another hot cup of water - I did rember to mix the instant coffee - and set back down at the breakfast tabel - thinking - I wont hear the last of this from the Tiger. Called the office and informend Mabel I wouldn't be to work till the afternoon. Did you over sleep she giggled. Yeah guess you could say that I muttered. Around 10 bells got the Tiger out of bed. in the bath room he trotted - tinkle - tinkle little bell - gurgle gurgle as he flushed the stool, then his meloudius little voice came floating down the hall as he took his shower, singing, rain drops keep falling on my head ----- All is back to normal, even if it is a half day late. The Tiger comes skipping down the hall, dressed in just his boxers, as per usula - I'm hungrey M - whats for breaifast? Life goes on even if it is a half a day late.
