I'm not sure if you're aware that the FHA (Federal Housing Administration) will grant you a home improvement loan at low or even 0 interest if you meet their qualifications. To find out about the requirements go to your local bank and ask them if they handle FHA loans. Most banks do.

And Somersault, I'm not sure about where you are but there might be some sort of similar program that you could look into.
