kick the can@twilight, a painful memory

when i was a kid, i was seldom allowed to play with the other kids, but one evening, for whatever reason, there was an exception. I was allowed to play, and the game was kick the can. Unbeknownst to me, I was set up. when we were all running in different directions, someone put a brick under the can. apparently it was decided that I would be allowed in to kick first. I was happy, i thought i was doing well at the game, I was gonna kick. I kick, hit the brick, broke a toe, and never played the game again. hope your game goes better than mine did.
