Free Speech doesn't exist at the SafeHaven Board

The text below is a copy of a post I put at BoyChat, explaining my recent politically motivated banning from the SafeHaven Board. It has been requested by the Cogs at Boychat that I move this discussion here.

I submitted a post at SafeHaven about the 'philosophy' linked on the board's front page - a series of guidelines to which all boylovers should aspire to - and mentioned a couple of inconsistencies contained therein.

In one paragraph the philosophy mentions that "any physical expression of this pedosexuality is only acceptable with the understanding, encouragement, and appropriate consent of the boy involved. Even then, under the present barbaric legal system, such consensual sexual activities are considered a criminal act."

In another paragraph the philosophy mentions that "A responsible boylover should strive to set a good example for his boy."

My interpretation of the 2nd quoted paragraph includes discouraging our BL's from breaking the law (for obvious reasons), this is why I have stated on a number of occasions at SafeHaven that I will never agree to any sexual behaviour with my YF, even if he initiates it. In my opinion there is too much risk involved. I mentioned that this is my personal stance, suggested that the philosophy needed a revamp (because of the inconsistency and mentioning a couple of other things that could be there) and asked for opinions from other posters.

But the ADMIN seems to think that there is no such inconsistency in the philosophy. He also believed my post posed enough of a 'threat' to delete it immediately and cancel my registered nick (even though the post complied with their posting policy), thereby preventing any such debate from happening.

I wouldn't have minded everybody on the board disagreeing with what I had suggested, I just wanted the debate to happen. But ADMIN didn't even permit the debate.

Whilst it is his board to do with as he sees fit, I find it hard to believe that someone who complains about half-truths, misrepresentations and sarcasms as he has done, in fact employs the same practices to further his own interests (he misquoted me once whilst accusing me of misrepresenting the philosophy), and deletes any posts that suggest anything that differs from the philosophy. This sort of policy is dictatorial at best, and certainly differs from the democratic society we now live in, where our laws are under constant revision.

I am posting this here because I believe that BC recognises the concept of free speech better than Safehaven. Whilst I might not agree with everything that is said here, I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and also their right to express it in a calm reasonable manner. It's a shame that ADMIN at SH doesn't.

Up until now I though SafeHaven was the best board around. My opinion has changed somewhat.

I hope this post complies with the Somersault posting policy. I do not intend to degrade SafeHaven in any way, but I believe the world needs to know how ADMIN at SafeHaven really works.
