the flock expands by one

yup, a new arrival in chimpolandia. Some of you may recall i have spoken of a boy who at 9 tried to hang himself from his bunkbed. he lived in germany at the time, and had some very serious family issues. Well, his family has since moved back to the states, and more recently back to MY state. Now, the root cause of the suicide attempt, it seems, was that his father intensly dislikes him, and nothing he does is good enough for dear ol dad.(boy can i relate to that). Well, the boy is now 14. He is actually living with his father and step-mother, both of whom hate him. Until very recently, I have been off limits to him. His father and I used to be very very close friends;) when his father was young. But there has been a falling out. Anyway, out of the blue, i get a call that the boy seeks me. I am Godfather to his older bro, but not to him, so it seemed strange. well, on wed. i picked the boy up at home, and he stayed the night, and has been here since then...well, he left a bit ago. I am falling for this kid, he and i seem to click on so many different levels, and when he starts telling about being treated shitty by his fam, and trying to kill himself, it's like we share one soul. The problem is that the boy has been mollycoddled since his suicide attempt. i dunno why. He is incapable of doing even the smallest everyday tasks, like making a grilled cheese sandwich or finding a number in the telephone directory(these are just examples of things he has learned to do for himself in the last few days). The kid seriously lacks survival skills. It's no wonder he seldom leaves his house. He and i went out to eat, went to a net cafe to game, went to a park to walk the dog, and he seems very happy here with me. He gets along well with the 6 yo. It's like he needs someone to take care of, as well as someone to show him how things work...he knows that the work, he just doesn't know how. i mean, he had no idea how to use a cheese grater for hell sake. i really wanna keep this kid here with me, but i am afraid his father might disallow it. however, there has been no objection yet so that's a good sign. Oh yeah, i forgot to tell you what he looks like He's tall, like 6 ft 1 in, and broad-shouldered, his lega are smooth as a baby, and so are his arm pits, he's kinda "chunky" but not fat enough to have belly rolls, just soft. and he has the most lovely color, he is like caramel, the light milky kind, with dark brown hair, and the cutest little stick-out ears. And his eyes, omigod, he has intense blue eyes
