Trials and troubles ----

Went to bed as usual one nite and woke up next morning right eye swollen shut. Made an appointment with the doc. Nurse took me to the waiting room and of course set there about 20 or 30 minutes before the doc came in. Took one look at me -- wow you've got a good bout of the "Shingles." Told me it would be at least 10 to 14 days before they would start to heal. Between that and the sinus infection, all this week have had a itching, sneezing and nose blowing good time. To top that - was doing some printing off the ole computer and the printer decided it was tired. So - now have to buy a new one. And oh yes -- the city water dept. sent a notice - water rates are going up. This includes the sewer hook up and garbage pick up. "And Then" got a notice -- Home, and car insurance was due. The ole bank balance looks like it decided to go on a diet. Sure has thinned down. Wish I could loose weight that easy. All in all though - I'm still kicken and getting around. Mowed the lawn, cleand house a bit, washed the stack of dishes and a few other odds and ends. With a huff and a puff - finelley made it to the ole lean back chair. AHHhhh that feels good. Rested a while then took a shower and off to bed. So here I am, sipping my glass of root beer and telling my troubles. No tears, just glad I can do what I did do.
