Quick note + temp leave of absence

Firstly to follow up on "Did I frighten him off". Thanks for the replies & it looks like it was a no. Yesterday, on morning shift, he was in the shop with him mum. He briefly came up to my till (without any shoping), played with the portable scanner (looks like a model of the Star Trek Voyager ship when the main disk is detached, or something used to scan pregnant women). He looked at me quite contented. I asked him if he was leaving tomorrow (which is today), he didn't reply, but seemed to indicate with his eyes that he couldn't talk, then he joined his mum at the other counter & left the shop with her about 3 mins later. (I did get a look at his ankles, he was wearing ankle socks, ginger hair kids have some sort of paler skin, like blondes & develop hair late, but you've gotta trust me on that one) :) My partner is down this week for 7 nights, along with Ratatta who will be 14 on Wednesday (my day off) & Granny (who is 82, bless her), so I won't be online very often. I will try to pop in on Tuesday, which is when they will visit her father.
